Golden Banner is expanding its finance team and is looking for an experienced Accountant who can contribute to the company’s day-to-day financial operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in the MEP contracting industry who are seeking to advance their careers in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling accounting responsibilities while ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations.

About the Role

As an Accountant, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting business operations, and assisting management with reliable financial reporting. Candidates with construction or MEP sector experience will be particularly well suited for this position.

Core Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties may include:

• Recording financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
• Processing supplier payments and monitoring customer receivables.
• Preparing invoices and ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts.
• Managing bank reconciliations and verifying financial data.
• Assisting with VAT calculations and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Working with accounting software to maintain accurate financial information.
• Assisting with project-related accounting and cost monitoring where required.

Candidate Profile

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should possess:

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience within Abu Dhabi.
• Previous employment with an MEP contracting company, which is a mandatory requirement.
• Good understanding of UAE accounting practices and VAT legislation.
• Hands-on experience using accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial record management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Attested educational certificates will be viewed as an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

The company would particularly value candidates who have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in project accounting, budgeting, and cost control within construction or MEP projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently while meeting reporting deadlines.

Estimated Monthly Basic Salary

Although Golden Banner has not officially disclosed the salary package, professionals in similar Accountant positions in Abu Dhabi generally earn:

• Accountant: AED 5,500 – 8,500 per month

Compensation may vary depending on qualifications, technical expertise, and previous MEP industry experience. Additional employment benefits may also be offered according to company policy.
